Proud To Be An American

Trying again. Not one like or comment and I think it’s pretty good. I’ve noticed the serious posts about God or country usually go unread by most with WordPress.

Musings of a Menopausal Maven

Proud to live in America.  When I was young my father wrote some kind of patriotic song that I thought was pretty corny at the time.  It was during the Vietnam war era.  “I’m going to walk across this land, shaking every, everybody’s hand.  Cause I’m proud to be an American, proud to live in America.”  Part of the chorus.  I’m an all American mutt of many nationalities with most of my family coming over from Canada in the last couple generations, so my family line has not been here all that long, other than my supposed Native American line.  In my many years in this country I have seen tremendous changes.  Unfortunately most are not for the good.   The changes in our people are disturbing.

Daily Prompt: Everything Changed

Why God, Why?

I always ask this when bad things happen to good or innocent people.  People minding their own business, doing the right thing.  All I ask is for you to question what is going on today in a real way.  Don’t just listen to what I or others have to say about it.  Get in a quiet place literally and within yourself and think about what the problem really seems to be and ask God what you can do to make a difference for the better.

The world needs positive change.  Not just any change.

Dare to be someone’s hero.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Creepy

Creepiness is in the eye of the beholder.  Some are creeped out by fingernails on a blackboard, but hard to show for a photo challenge.  Most are creeped out by insects like spiders, cemeteries, storms, full moons and foggy nights.  I am creeped out by all evil.  From the inconsiderate litterers to terrorists.  They show the world what they think of themselves.  When you poop on the world and others, you are really pooping on yourself.
