Weekly Photo Challenge: Local Flights

No local pubs for this gal, though there are many nearby.

Enjoy the locals that take flight around here though.

Daily Prompt: Through the Window Lightly

Two birthday Butterflies greeted me yesterday.

There was one on my window and I saw it when I first opened the window to greet the day.  When I went outside to get a better shot, it was gone.

Later I saw a Monarch sunning on my deck!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Symbol

Butterflies are symbols of change.  I have been seeing many butterflies the last few days before my foreclosure sale that is about to take place.  After that, my life will really change.  I lose my home and have to start all over again.

I still don’t know where I’m going but have an idea.  I’ve resolved myself to a small apartment for now so I can just relax for a while.  If I like it, I’ll stay, if I want to move on, I will do so.  Butterflies can do this.

Summer Garden 2014

I’ve had this Hydrangea shrub for many years.  I admit to having transplanted it several times due to the shade that keeps appearing every couple of years.  Some caused by my trees and shrubs sprouting up in the vicinity and once due to a neighbor planting several very large privacy shrubs near his fence line.  Making up for lost time, it not only decided to bloom all the colors of the rainbow on one shrub.  Nice feat when you consider that the Hydrangea’s color is determined by the PH balance of its soil.
